Save the Harbor/Save the Bay is a Boston non-profit leading the campaign for clean water and investment in the natural resources of the Boston Harbor. Near the beginning of May, they commissioned me to create a poster for their first annual Teen Beach Bash, an event aiming to encourage young people to take up space, connect with their community, and appreciate the beauty of the Harbor!
After meeting with Save the Harbor, we decided to go in the direction of an illustrative poster design that felt fun, colorful, and inviting. Below are some of the initial sketches from the project.
After sending along sketches, we decided to go with the second thumbnail shown, with hand rendered cloud shaped text for the title, info within the piece, and a space at the bottom for Save the Harbor to add in vendors/supporters as they confirmed attendance.

And here is the final poster! I had so much fun working on this commission, and am so happy with the final piece and the experience of collaborating with the kind folks over at Save the Harbor.
